By registering on ScoutLink you confirm that you have obtained verifiable parental or guardian consent for all players aged 6 to 16. This is a legal requirement under UK GDPR, the Children Act 1989, and KCSIE (Keeping Children Safe in Education) guidelines.
ScoutLink uses cookies and product analytics to understand how people use the platform, improve features, protect user welfare, monitor suspicious activity and make the product safer and easier to use. If you register or sign in, we may link your platform activity to your account so we can support your experience and improve the service. You can read more in our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.

We collect the following data about players: full name, age group from U7 to U16, position, physical attributes (described using ranges, not precise measurements), performance ratings, match statistics, video content, and avatar configuration. Player profiles are coach-managed and do not require a player email address.
For any player under the age of 16, coaches must obtain explicit written or verifiable parental/guardian consent before submitting their information. By checking the consent box during registration, the coach confirms this consent has been obtained and is on file. ScoutLink reserves the right to remove any player data where consent cannot be confirmed. Parent/guardian email addresses will only be used for notifications directly relevant to their child's profile.
Player data is used exclusively for: (a) enabling scouts at professional and semi-professional clubs to identify talent; (b) generating AI-driven compatibility, development and transfer value assessments; (c) producing aggregate statistics and performance analytics. We do not sell personal data to third parties.
Player profiles are retained for as long as the associated coach account is active, or until deletion is requested. Upon request, all data can be removed within 30 days in accordance with the Right to Erasure under UK GDPR.
ScoutLink does not permit players to upload photographs of themselves. Avatar images are computer-generated only. Video content is voluntary and subject to coach/guardian approval. All data is stored on EU servers (Supabase, AWS eu-central-1) and protected by industry-standard encryption.
Players, parents, and coaches may request access to, correction of, or deletion of their data at any time by emailing info@scoutlink.app. We will respond within 30 days.
By registering, coaches agree to: (a) only add players for whom they hold appropriate consent; (b) keep player information accurate and up to date; (c) not add any player's photograph to the platform; (d) notify ScoutLink immediately if any player or parent/guardian withdraws consent. Breach of these obligations may result in immediate suspension of the coach account.
